Patel in his post further said that Kailashnathan after retiring from civil service as Additional Chief Secretary in 2013, served as Principal Secretary in Chief Minister’s Office for more than a decade.
“His administrative skills, keen sense of public issues and tactful working style were prominent features throughout his tenure. My best wishes to Kailasanathan for a healthy, fit and healthy retirement,” the Gujarat Chief Minister said.
Meanwhile, the CMO Gujarat also took to their official X handle and posted about the retirement of Kailasanathan. It said, “As Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, K. Kailasanathan is retiring with effect from 30th June, 2024.”
It added further, “As the Principal Secretary of the then Chief Minister and present Prime Minister Narendra Modi, K. Kailasanathan was serving in the Chief Minister’s Office since 2006.”
Talking about his expertise, the CMO Gujarat posted, “His expertise has been outstanding in formulating industrial and port policy in the state and areas such as drinking water, water grid and earthquake rehabilitation in Ahmedabad.”
“Even after his retirement from civil services in the year 2013, Kailasanathan continued to serve as Principal Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office,” the CMO said.
The post added further, “As the Chairman of the Executive Committee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream project Mahatma Gandhi Sabarmati Ashram Memorial Trust, he is also getting guidance in the ashram redevelopment work. Best wishes to Kailasanathan for a healthy and happy retirement.” (ANI)
