Udhampur (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], July 14 (ANI): Union Minister of State, Jitendra Singh, said on Saturday that the Udhampur railway station has been included in the Aadarsh station scheme and in the coming times, it will become a very big junction of the railways which will be inaugurated by PM Modi.
“Udhampur railway station has been included in the Adarsh station scheme. In the coming times, Udhampur is going to become a very big junction of the railway. Seeing the demand of the people here, it has been named after Captain Tushar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the renovated Udhampur Juction soon. The first train reached Jammu and Kashmir in 1972. It took more than 50 years for the rail track to get extended. It was only when PM Modi took over, the work was put on the fast track,” Singh said.
He also mentioned that Jammu is the area where the world’s tallest bridge is being constructed.
“There was some issue related to the bridge at Reasi which was resolved. Now this is the highest bridge in the world. Very soon we will have a train running into the Kashmir Valley,” he added.
The Union MoS also emphasised that the dimensions for youth are changing very rapidly.
“There is a start-up program, so many young people have participated in it and opened their own ventures. India will emerge as the third largest economy very soon,” he said.
“In the last 10 years, we have worked to fill the gaps that existed before and we have to prepare the society where no one lacks in development works. We have to try to prepare the society in which we can provide employment opportunities to the youth and Udhampur’s name can be made throughout the country,” he added. (ANI)
