New Delhi [India], August 30 (ANI): As many as 75,083 students have secured their admissions in various undergraduate courses at Delhi University for the 2024-25 academic year so far, exceeding the total seat count of 71,600, a senior official at the DU said.
“As many as 75,083 students have secured their admissions in various undergraduate courses at Delhi University for the 2024-25 academic year in first two rounds,” DU Dean of Admission, Haneet Gandhi said.
The number of seats in various DU colleges are around 71600.
The university has already conducted two rounds of admissions, and classes for first-year students are currently underway. Further admission rounds, including those for Performance-Based Programmes and various supernumerary seats–such as CW, ECA, Sports, and Ward categories–are set to commence on September 3.
The university has released the schedule for the upcoming rounds of allocations and admissions for undergraduate programmes.
The upgrade window for the next round will open at 5:00 pm on August 31, 2024, and close at 4:59 pm on September 1, 2024.
The announcement of upgraded allocations, along with the first round of allocations for Performance-Based Programs, CW, ECA, Sports, and Ward Quota, will be made by 5:00 pm on September 3, 2024.
Candidates must accept their allocated seats by 4:59 pm on September 4, 2024. Following this, colleges will verify and approve online applications, with the deadline for fee payment set for September 5, 2024.
For those who missed Phase II or failed to participate in CSAS(UG)-2024, a mid-entry window will open from 5:00 pm on September 7, 2024, to 4:59 pm on September 9, 2024.
Candidates can join by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 1,000, and those rejected for incorrect subject mapping or eligibility issues will also be allowed to correct their preferences during this period.
The third round of allocations will begin at 5:00 pm on September 9, 2024. Candidates are advised to check the vacant seat matrix and update their preferences accordingly, as the cutoffs and ranks in this round will not be comparable to previous ones. (ANI)
