Pune (Maharashtra) [India], September 16 (ANI): Targeting Prime Minister Modi-led Central government over completing 100 days, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray said on Monday that the government has been an absolute failure as none of the promises have been fulfilled, adding that the INDIA bloc will come with a new government very soon.
Thackeray said, “Central government has been an absolute failure as none of the promises have been fulfilled in this last 100 days. Today, the country needs new leadership. INDIA Bloc will come with a new government very soon.”
“Count that how many days the Prime Minister was abroad during these 100 days. what about the unemployment, inflation, peace in Manipur, nothing has been seen in this 100 days? INDIA bloc will form its government soon,” he added.
Meanwhile, Modi 3.0 has completed its first 100 days in office. Sources in the government said that it has achieved several targets set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this year. Before hitting the campaign trail for 2024 general election, PM had given 100 days task to officials.
Centre has cleared and approved projects worth Rs 3 lakh crore in 100 days with primary focus on roads, railways, ports, and airways. Source in the government believed that increasing capital expenditure to Rs 11.11 lakh crore will lead to job creation.
Sources in government also emphasised on work it has done for ease of doing business and youth in first 100 days, other than abolishing angel tax and reducing corporate tax , centre is setting up Rs 1000 crore venture capital fund for space sector startups. Approval has been given for the Gen-Next Support for Innovation Startups (GENESIS) program to support Start-Ups in Tier-II and Tier-III cities.
Further, slamming Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad over his statement on Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, Thackeray said that it looks like there is no Home Minister in the state.
“He has made several such statements but its look like there is no home minister in the state …we have seen in Badlapur incident also where a women journalist who was covering the incident was inappropriately commented by one of their leader but instead of taking action against him the FIR was register against the women journalist… similarly there are lot of such incidents that happened in Maharashtra but it looks like there is no home minister in the state,” he said.
Sanjay Gaikwad made a controversial remark on Monday about the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, stating that he would offer Rs 11 lakh to anyone who cuts off Gandhi’s tongue. (ANI)
