Khatua (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], September 18 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Puskhar Singh Dhami addressed public gatherings in Khatua, Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday to campaign in support of the BJP candidate in the region.
While campaigning for the BJP candidate Jeevan Lal at Chhinj Maidan at Mashedi, the CM said, “This area is also like the hilly areas of Uttarakhand. Recently, 5 soldiers of Uttarakhand were martyred in the service of Mother India in this area. The people of the area are going to make lotus bloom by creating a new history in the upcoming elections. The people here want the development of Jammu and Kashmir.”
Talking about the continuous expansion of different developmental projects, he mentioned the national highways, bridges, hospitals being built by the union government.
“Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, development work is being carried forward by making a special action plan for Jammu and Kashmir. He said that earlier there was talk of terrorists, jihadists and separatists in Kashmir. But today development is being talked about in the elections. Because the central government has only taken development forward in Jammu and Kashmir. Railway infrastructure, National Highway, Expressway, Chenab Bridge, AIIMS, IIM, many projects are being continuously expanded in Jammu and Kashmir by the central government,” he added.
During a public gathering in Bani, the CM mentioned the increasing tourism in Jammu and Kashmir, while also criticising the opposition parties.
“On one hand there is Modi Ji’s guarantee of building a safe and prosperous Jammu Kashmir. On the other hand there are promises of separatism and bringing back Article 370 by parties like Congress, PDP, National Conference. The opposition parties have sacrificed Jammu Kashmir to terrorism and separatism for 30 years. The leaders of Congress, PDP, National Conference pushed Jammu Kashmir into the quagmire of corruption,” he added.
Further, he mentioned that he can see the enthusiasm of the people in the region, being confident in BJP winning the assembly election.
“The kind of enthusiasm and zeal I am seeing in you in the elections being held in Jammu and Kashmir this time, I do not doubt in my mind, I am fully confident that this time the people of Jammu and Kashmir are going to create a new history. The lotus is going to bloom here,” he said. (ANI)
