Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], October 2 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of his birth anniversary and said that India would never forget his contribution in making the nation independent.
CM Yadav also remembered the second Prime Minister of the country, Late Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary saying we can learn from his life how one can reach great heights despite coming from difficulties.
“Mahatma Gandhi contributed to the nation for its independence, India will never forget it. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going ahead with progress in every sector and every area. Especially, amid the current instability in South Asian countries, PM Modi is spreading the message of peace. This enhances the pride of India and takes forward the tradition of Mahatma Gandhi,” CM Yadav told reporters.
“Along with Mahatma Gandhi, it is also the birth anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri, we remember his contribution to the nation. How can one reach great heights despite coming from difficulties, we can learn this from him. Despite reaching such a great height, he left a mark of simplicity. I bow before both of them. We wish that Madhya Pradesh and the nation move forward on their path,” he added.

“I pay my heartfelt tributes to former Prime Minister of the country and Bharat Ratna awardee Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary. Today I paid tribute to him by garlanding his statue in Bhopal. By giving the slogan ‘Jai Jawan-Jai Kisan’, he infused immense self-power in the entire country. He will always be remembered for his simplicity, strong will and honesty,” CM Yadav further posted on X.
Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated every year to mark the birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, who is also known to be the ‘Father of the nation’. The whole nation pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on this day and it is marked as a national holiday.
