Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], November 12 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu visited the Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla on Tuesday to enquire about the well-being of Chairman Seventh State Finance Commission Nand Lal, who is recuperating from an illness. He wished speedy recovery to him.
He also paid a surprise visit to the newly established Trauma ward of the college and interacted with the patients admitted enquiring about the services being provided to them. He asked, “When the doctors and para-medical staff come, do you receive proper attention and what is your opinion of the quality of food being served to them.”
The Chief Minister also interacted with the nurses and said that the State Government is recruiting doctors and nurses to ensure an international ratio of doctors-nurses and patients so that they could perform their duties efficiently.
Chairman, the Kangra Co-Operative Primary Agriculture & Rural Development Bank Ram Chander Pathania also accompanied the Chief Minister.
Earlier CM Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri expressed condolences to the family of the army jawan, Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar, who lost his life during a gunfight between the security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district.
Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar was a resident of Barnog village, Chhamyar Panchayat, in the Nachan Assembly Constituency of Mandi district. Naib Subedar Kumar lost his life in an encounter with terrorists in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Chief Minister Sukhu said the nation will forever honour the ultimate sacrifice of this brave soldier.
He further extended his heartfelt condolences to the grieving family members and prayed for the peace of the departed soul, it added.
Deputy Chief Minister Agnihotri also said that the nation and the state would always be indebted for the selfless and supreme sacrifice of this brave son.
He prayed the almighty to bless peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss, read the release. (ANI)
