Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], June 22 (ANI): The representatives of the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Secretariat on Saturday under the leadership of President Padma Vikram Singh.

He informed the Chief Minister about the tourism activities being conducted in Nepal.
The Chief Minister said, “India has a close relationship with Nepal and asserted that the tourism businessmen of Uttarakhand and Nepal can together help give new dimensions to the tourism business.”
Describing tourism as the basis of the economy, he also appreciated the efforts of the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel in this direction.
The primary purposes of NATTA have been to protect the professional interests of those engaged in the travel trade business, to promote its orderly growth and development, and to safeguard the travelling public from exploitation by unreliable agents.
It was established in 1966 by a group of leading travel agents.
On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami performed yoga with local people, security personnel and tourists at Parvati Sarovar in Adi Kailash in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh on Friday.
He also offered prayers at Parvati Kund in Adi Kailash.
While in Adi Kailash, Uttarakhand CM Dhami said, “First up of all, I want to thank PM Modi Ji, as after he presented the resolution at the UN, Yoga has expanded throughout the world under his leadership. It is possible due to his efforts that the whole world is continuously celebrating June 21 as International Yoga Day.”
He further stated, “Today we are celebrating International Yoga Day at Adi Kailash, which is situated at such high altitudes. Also, Modi Ji is the first PM who visit the border area of Adi Kailash. He communicated with the locals and had meetings with them.
“Highlighting the increased tourism in the area, CM Dhami asserted, “The tourism has grown in this area a lot as PM Modi through his visit drew the attention of people in the border area of Adi Kailash. The tourism potential has grown significantly. In the upcoming days, this area will see many more pilgrims.” (ANI)
