Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], July 18 (ANI): On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, in view of the monsoon season in 2024 for the repair and reconstruction works to be done under the State Disaster Relief Fund, a total amount of Rs 130 crores has been approved.
The amount has been approved at the disposal of all the district magistrates of the state at the rate of Rs 10 crores, and the Secretary, Disaster Management Department, has been directed to immediately allocate the said amount to the districts.
Apart from this, all the district magistrates have been directed by the Chief Minister that the assets damaged by the disaster should be reconstructed as soon as possible with the amount sanctioned in the repair and reconstruction budget, and no delay will be acceptable in this regard.
In the meeting held recently regarding monsoon, CM Dhami directed that the works to be done under the disaster should be done on a priority basis, and the amount required for the repair and reconstruction works should be immediately given to all the districts. In this sequence, on Thursday, the government sanctioned Rs 130.00 crores for the repair and reconstruction works of damaged assets from SDRF funds.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the government is fully prepared to deal with disasters and that all departments are well prepared. The government’s intention is clear: the general public should face minimum difficulties due to disasters.
