Saraikela (Jharkhand) [India], September 26 (ANI): Former Union Minister and BJP leader Arjun Munda on Wednesday said that the Parivartan Rath has reached Saraikela and they are getting a huge outpouring of public support following “resentment” against the current government.
Notably, the ‘Parivartan Yatra’ was flagged by Amit Shah in Jharkhand’s Sahibganj district on September 20. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Jharkhand BJP chief Babulal Marandi, and former CM Champai Soren were present on the occasion.
“Our Parivartan Rath has reached Saraikela. There is a huge outpouring of public support in Saraikela because there is a lot of resentment among the people. The government has disappointed the people of Jharkhand for the purpose with which they gave a chance to the Hemant Soren government,” said Arjun Munda.
Lashing out at the JMM government led by Hemant Soren, he said, “The work of suppressing those rights of the people has been done from which the people had expected to benefit. Through this Parivartan Yatra, we are giving the message that the youth have been cheated, women have been cheated, and the citizens here have been cheated …”
Meanwhile, former Jharkhand Chief Minister and BJP leader Champai Soren said that the Maha Parivartan rally is a sign that the BJP is going to win in the upcoming Jharkhand elections and will form the government.
“The Maha Parivartan rally is a sign that the BJP’s victory in the coming elections and forming the government is certain,” Soren said.
Champai Soren upped his ante against the Hemant Soren-led government for allegedly withdrawing his security and said that the people of Jharkhand will protect him.
“It is up to them, now the public will protect us,” he added.
The term of the Jharkhand State Assembly is set to expire on January 5, 2025, with elections scheduled for 81 constituencies (44 General, 9 SC, 28 ST) across the state. Jharkhand is set to go to polls for its 81-member legislative assembly later this year. The Election Commission of India (ECI) is yet to announce the dates. (ANI)
