Rajouri (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], November 11 (ANI): In a significant boost to employment opportunities in the region, ITI Rajouri has introduced a range of new important trades aimed at equipping local youth with practical skills to enhance their career prospects. Recognizing the need for accessible and diverse training options, the institute has opened enrolment for several courses tailored to meet the demand in various industries.
Among the newly launched courses, some of the most sought-after trades include Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Motor Mechanics, and Fashion Designing. These courses are designed to provide hands-on training, combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications to ensure graduates are job-ready.
The Civil Engineering course focuses on foundational and advanced construction skills, which are expected to help address the need for skilled workers in local infrastructure projects. The Electrical Engineering course is designed to train students in electrical installations and repairs, a valuable skill set given the rising demand for qualified electricians in both residential and commercial sectors.
Additionally, the Motor Mechanic program equips students with essential skills in automotive repairs, an area with strong demand in the region. Meanwhile, the Fashion Designing course offers a creative outlet for young designers, providing them with the skills to enter the fashion and textile industry, which has a growing market locally and beyond.
Officials at ITI Rajouri expressed their commitment to empowering the youth of Rajouri with relevant, industry-aligned skills that can help alleviate unemployment in the district. This initiative is expected to play a crucial role in enabling young people to pursue self-employment and secure jobs both within the region and across the country.
On this occasion, Principal of ITI Rajouri Ujjwal Mahajan said, “We have 20 trades that are functioning and students take up all trades enthusiastically. Every trade has its own importance, This is a prestigious institution and has been serving the country since 1962. Most 70 per cent of the staff in our district are from ITI Rajouri.”
Enrolment is currently open, and interested candidates are encouraged to visit ITI Rajouri to learn more about the admission process and course details. (ANI)
