Sindhudurg (Maharashtra) [India], October 28 (ANI): Former Union Minister and BJP MP Narayan Rane’s son, Nitesh Rane, held a roadshow and filed his nomination today for the Kankavli Assembly segment.

He is a two-time incumbent MLA for the Sindhudurg Kankavli Assembly Constituency. His elder brother, Nilesh, former Lok Sabha MP, has recently joined the Shiv Sena and also filed his nomination from the Kudal Assembly segment.

Before taking part in the nomination process of his sons BJP MP and Former CM Narayan Rane offered prayers in ‘Shree Dev Narayan Temple’ and ‘Shree Dev Rameshwar Temple’.
Speaking to ANI, he said “Today is a day of happiness for me, as both my sons have got tickets– One Nitish from the Bharatiya Janata Party and the other from the Shiv Sena led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, ‘Nilesh Rane’. I believe both will be elected by a significant margin, as the atmosphere supports them. Our guardian minister is with us, and we have the blessings of everyone, so I am confident that both my sons will win by a good number of votes. For the past 35 years, we have been elected from this area, and the people here bless us and love us, which is why such a large number of people are attending the nomination event”.
On asked about the confidence of Mahayuti on seats he said, “As for the opposition, where are they? What have they done for this district? I want to say that the Mahayuti will not face any losses; we will be in profit. If we combine all three of our parties, we are looking at 160 seats. The Kudal and Kankavali seats are already secured in our accounts and in our pockets”.
While talking to ANI, Rane’s elder son Nilesh Rane asked about his nomination from the Kudal Assembly Constituency and said, “I have been working in this constituency for the past 10 years. I feel there is a huge anti-incumbency in this region, in this constituency the local MLA here has failed every department has collapsed and because we have been in this district for the last 40 years people have always trusted Mr Rane they got me elected at the age of 28 on lok sabha seat and today I am fighting on Vidhan sabha seat after 10 years so I feel the work will talk”.
On the expectations of the people from the Rane family he said “It’s a significant challenge for us because this legacy is immense, and when such a big name is associated with you, your responsibilities increase. In light of this responsibility, I have tried to do what I can over the past ten years. I have lost twice, yet I have never abandoned this soil, these people have never abandoned me. We continue to build a family together; I believe this district is our family. If I get the opportunity to serve them, I consider it my fortune”.
On anti-incumbency for Mahayuti and switching of party just for assembly ticket he said “As for what the MVA is dreaming about in this election, it doesn’t concern me. They wake up every day dreaming, and I let them stay in their dreams. Their fight, as I have said before, is for the fourth, fifth, and sixth positions, not for the first, second, or third. So, what they think is not essential. When we fight as an alliance, we act on the decisions made by our leaders.”
” I am a worker; I need to follow. Whether I am here or there, our alliance is so strong that we are all united. There’s no division between us; it’s not about who is here or there. It can only be about shaping a perspective or creating propaganda. Beyond that, they can’t do anything else, but we guarantee that the Mahayuti government is going to be formed again,” he added.
While Nitish Rane incumbent MLA and candidate from Kankavli speaking to ANI said, “The work we have done for the last 10 years so I am confident that my voters will surely give me their blessings once again for the third time. There are issues related to development, Hindutva, and the future. We are engaging with people on all these matters, and over the next 22 days, we will reassure them once again. I am confident that when voting takes place, people will vote for us, and this will be reflected in the results on the 23 (November)”.
He further added, “Even though I am a two-time incumbent MLA, my voters know me well; they understand what their MLA can do for them. They recognize my capacity, and keeping that in mind, I am very confident they will vote for me”.
He also jabbed MVA and NCP- SP chief Shared Pawar saying, “I don’t think the Maha Vikas Aghadi is still intact. I have heard that there has already been an unofficial divorce between Congress and UBT; only the formal declaration is pending. I think perhaps Pawar is either receiving information late or trying to manage everything, being a very senior leader. But the unofficial divorce between Congress and UBT has already happened; only the declaration is left. Therefore, I don’t believe the MVA still exists in the state.”
Speaking on Mahayuti’s confidence in the number of seats in assembly elections, he said, “We won’t get caught up in the chase for seats, but I will say that once again, the Mahayuti government is coming in Maharashtra. We will return with a significant majority, and I can confidently say that the next Chief Minister will be from the Mahayuti”.
The Maharashtra Assembly elections are scheduled for November 20, with counting for all 288 constituencies set for November 23. (ANI)
