Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], October 22 (ANI): Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu on Tuesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision is to enhance drone operations in the country to 1 lakh, up from the current 27,000.
“PM Modi’s vision is to enhance drone operations in the country to 1 lakh, up from the current 27,000. The Union government has launched a special programme to provide drone training for women, aimed at increasing support for agriculture,” Kinjarapu said after he and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the Drone Summit at Amaravati in Andhra Pradesh.
The Union Minister said that Andhra Pradesh should become the drone hub of the entire world, not just the country.
“Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was the only Chief Minister who asked me about drone operations in the state, including the development of airports. He also suggested organising a drone summit,” Kinjarapu said.
The summit is being organised by the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation in coordination with the Andhra Pradesh Drones Corporation on October 22 and 23.
The Union Minister said that Chandrababu Naidu is always focused on the future of the state and the younger generation.
“Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu recommended that the summit should be held in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu Naidu is always focused on the future of the state and the younger generation. Two people, PM Modi and CM Chandrababu Naidu, are the first to adopt the latest technologies for the development of the country and state,” he said.
He credited Chandrababu Naidu’s vision for transforming Hyderabad into a world-class city.
The Amaravati Drone Summit aims to foster collaboration and innovation within the drone industry. By bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise, the summit also aims to explore cutting-edge advancements and emerging trends that will define the future of drone technology.
Government officials from various departments of Andhra Pradesh and the Union Government are participating in discussions to explain investment opportunities across various sectors such as agriculture, water resource management, and more.
The summit is also being attended by leading companies in drone manufacturing, services, and technology development. (ANI)
