Thane (Maharashtra) [India], September 24 (ANI): Shiv Sena MP Naresh Maske, along with the other party workers, visited the hospital and met the injured policeman on Tuesday who shot the accused in the Badlapur sexual assault case.
The MP and workers consoled the policeman and assured him that the entire Shiv Sena, along with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, would stand with him despite what the opposition would say and would also make sure that there would be no shortcomings in his treatment.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena workers here on Tuesday morning displayed posters and distributed sweets at the Badlapur railway station here after the Badlapur sexual assault accused Akshay Shinde was shot dead by the police on Monday in the retaliatory firing that took place in Badlapur.

Talking about the incident, one of the workers said that the incident had taken place at the same railway station, and the same station is seeing the rejoicing of the people who had witnessed the incident.
“The Badlapur railway station had seen the incident that had occurred, and the same station is seeing the rejoicing and happiness celebrated by the people on the death of the accused. We are very happy that justice was served, and this has doubled our trust in the government,” a worker said.
“It feels that safety has increased a little bit, and we feel that the police will ensure that justice will be served if any such incident occurs in the future,” said another party worker.
Another worker added that the courage shown by the police in the shooting incident was worth applauding.
“The courage showed by the police team and the policeman who shot the accused in the shameful incident is very powerful. The strength shown by the police team in the case has shown us that the police will not let any injustice happen to the women of our state,” he said.
The post-mortem of the body will be performed by experts from the JJ hospital and a forensic team.
Earlier, the panchnama of the accused was done on Monday morning in the presence of the judge after his body was brought to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital in Kalwa here on Monday night. (ANI)
