Tripura CM Manik Saha hails Union Budget for uplifting poor, youth, farmers, and women – World News Network

Agartala (Tripura) [India], July 24 (ANI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha said that the Union Budget for the financial year 2024-25 is an inclusive budget aimed at the comprehensive upliftment of the poor, youth, farmers, and Nari Shakti.
“The budget for the financial year 2024-25 presented on Tuesday is truly a people-oriented budget. This budget is for the overall development of the poor, youth, women, and farmers. I want to thank Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the inclusive budget,” said CM Saha.
He mentioned that this budget has been made with a focus on infrastructure development and skill development.
“The budget has also given special emphasis on employment. The overall budget is reflected in this year’s budget,” said CM Saha.
He also stated that no one has ever heard of or seen such a budget before. He said that this budget is a visionary and inclusive budget for the overall development of the poor, youth, farmers, and women.
“The Union Budget 2024-25 will be the guiding force for strengthening the foundation of a 5-trillion economy. This budget will act as an effective catalyst in realising the dream of a developed India and will be a significant step towards achieving the vision of inclusive growth,” he added.
Nirmala Sitharaman presented her record seventh consecutive Union Budget 2024-25 on Tuesday during the Budget Session of Parliament. She makes history as the first finance minister to present seven consecutive budget speeches, surpassing former Prime Minister Morarji Desai’s record of six consecutive budgets as finance minister between 1959 and 1964.
In this budget, Rs 3 lakh crore has been allocated for schemes that will benefit women and girls and also announced water supply, sewerage and solid waste management projects and services for 100 major cities. Rs. 2.66 lakh crore was also announced for rural development, encompassing rural infrastructure, establishment of more than 100 branches of Indian Post Payment Banks in the Northeast region. (ANI)
