Uttarakhand: CM Dhami distributes appointment letters to 72 Assistant Professors – World News Network

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], August 27 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday distributed appointment letters to 72 Assistant Professors selected from the Public Service Commission, Uttarakhand, under the Higher Education Department at Mukhya Sevak Sadan located at the Chief Minister’s residence.
The appointment letters were given to Assistant Professors selected in Sociology, Economics and English subjects.
The CM Dhami also inaugurated the portal for providing an amount of Rs 50,000 in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Institute for meritorious students of the state.
Congratulating all the assistant professors on receiving the appointment letters, the Chief Minister said that teachers play an important role in building the future of the learners.
The CM said, “You have an important responsibility to build the future of our youth. You now have an important challenge to shape the future of the children by performing well in your field of work.”
Further, he expressed a hope that the professors would contribute to fulfilling the resolution of the state government.
“I hope that the newly recruited professors contribute to fulfilling the resolution of the state government and that you use innovation at your workplace.”
He further said that campaigns would be run against the evils of society and modern technology would be used to give values to our children along with proper employment-oriented education.
“We will run awareness campaigns against the evils of society, use modern technology in the field of education and give good values to children along with employment-oriented education,” Dhami added.
Dhami also said that PM Modi has said from the land of ‘Baba Kedar’ that the third decade of the 21st century will be the decade for Uttarakhand.
“Our PM Modi has said from the land of Baba Kedar that the third decade of the 21st century would be the decade for Uttarakhand. The state government has also been moving forward in this direction. We have been making preparations for the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code in the state and they are now in the final stage,” Dhami added.
He further said that more than 16,000 youth have been given appointments in government services and the process to fill in the vacant posts has also been going on rapidly.
Dhami said, “In the last three years, more than 16,000 youth have been given appointments in government services. The process of filling the remaining vacant posts is also going on rapidly. Strict anti-copying laws and anti-riot laws have been implemented in the state. Uttarakhand has got first place in the country in the Sustainable Development Goals issued by NITI Aayog. This is a matter of pride for the state.”
“Higher education plays an important role in giving the right direction to the young leaders. Teachers also play an important role in making the learners responsible towards the society and the country along with good education,” the CM said.
“Entrepreneurship and startups are being continuously encouraged by the state government. The youth has to be prepared in such a way that they not only become job seekers but also become job providers to others. For this, the Devbhoomi Entrepreneurship Scheme has also been started in the state. National Education Policy 2020 has been implemented in the state. The government is continuously working towards making the education system qualitative and effective,” Dhami added.
He also commented on the work being done for the construction of infrastructure and the expansion of technology and mentioned that 20 models of colleges are being established.
Dhami said, “Work is being done in all areas of construction of infrastructure and technology is being expanded in the state’s government colleges and universities. 20 model colleges are being established. Scholarships are also being given to meritorious students every month. Researchers are also being encouraged to promote research.”
Under the ‘Gaurav’ scheme, a target has been set by the government to provide three-tier training in banking and finance to students studying in higher educational institutions of the state, along with the placement of 5,000 students. (ANI)
