Giridih (Jharkhand) [India], November 12 (ANI): Ahead of Jharkhand assembly polls, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President and Union Minister JP Nadda on Tuesday highlighted the BJP-led NDA government’s achievements and criticized the opposition and said that where there are JMM, Congress and RJD, there is corruption and familial politics.
“Every tribal person, be it from Himachal or Odisha or Chhattisgarh or Gadchiroli, believe in Bhawan Bisra Munda…The time has come for Jharkhand to uproot Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, RJD and Congress from the state and form BJP-NDA govt here. Where there are JMM, Congress and RJD, there is corruption and familial politics…” said JP Nadda while addressing a public rally in Jharkhand’s Giridih.
Hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Nadda said that he has done the work of bringing Jharkhand into the mainstream.
“There is a wave in favour of BJP and NDA in Jharkhand…There is no one other than BJP-NDA who is a well-wisher of Jharkhand. PM Modi has done the work of bringing Jharkhand into the mainstream…The credit for the creation of Jharkhand goes to Atal Bihar Vajpayee. We can proudly say that we made this state and only we will make it prosper…We did the work of marking the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda as Adivasi Gaurav Diwas….” said the BJP national President.
Earlier in the day, BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad hit out at the Congress party for conspiring with conservative and divisive elements within the Muslim community to gain votes in the upcoming Jharkhand and Maharashtra elections.
“The BJP is very clear that the Congress party is conspiring with all the conservative, divisive elements in the Muslim community for the sake of votes as they are apprehensive about their imminent defeat,” said Prasad.
The first phase of elections in Jharkhand is scheduled to take place on Wednesday and the second phase is scheduled for November 20. The votes will be counted on November 23.
In the previous assembly election, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha won 30 seats, the BJP won 25 and Congress won 16 seats. (ANI)
